commissions

Commission a portrait.

A photograph and a feeling, kept in thread. A small number of commissions are taken each season — each piece made entirely by hand, to last for generations.

how it works

From a photo to an heirloom.

Send the idea

A photo, a few words, the feeling you want to keep. There’s no obligation to begin.

Sketch & plan

Within a day or two I reply with a sketch, the size and composition, the price and the timing.

Approve & begin

Once you approve the sketch and plan, payment is made in full and I begin stitching by hand.
